What the plug-in and apps send
No audio and no analytics, anywhere. mixaphone captures audio locally inside your DAW and sends it over your local Wi-Fi network to your phone. The audio never touches our servers, never touches any third-party server, and never leaves your home or studio network. We have no way to listen in even if we wanted to.
The phone apps have no account system and collect no analytics. They don't send crash reports anywhere unless you turn on your phone's own crash reporting in its settings.
One small check does go out: the apps look for a newer version. The iPhone app asks Apple's public app lookup at most once a day, with only the app's ID, so it can show "Update available". The Android app uses Google Play's own update check.
What the website collects
Cloudflare hosts this site and keeps aggregate request counts from its own server logs. There is no tracking script on the site and no cookie. Cloudflare sees the same IP your browser would send to any server, and we don't link it to a person.
Those counts are the only analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar, no anything. The DevTools Network tab is the proof. Have a look.
Our ads link here with a short tag in the address that names the
ad, like ?src=ig-bounce. If you buy during that
visit, the tag goes to Lemon Squeezy with your order, so we can
tell which ads work. It names the ad, not you, and nothing is
stored on your device.
The support form
If you send a message with the form on the support page, it is emailed to us together with what you typed (your name, email address, topic, message, and the order number if you add one), plus your IP address and your browser (its user agent).
License activation and checks
When you buy mixaphone, the checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy. They are the merchant of record and they handle your billing data per their privacy policy. We see the order number, the buyer's email, and the country (for tax purposes). We don't see card numbers. The download link in your receipt carries your license key, which this site checks with Lemon Squeezy before it serves the installer.
The plug-in contacts Lemon Squeezy's license server to activate your license, and again whenever it loads and its last check is more than 24 hours old. Activating sends your license key and your computer's name. Later checks, and deactivating a computer, send your license key and the activation ID Lemon Squeezy gave that computer. Nothing else is sent in the request: no audio, no DAW project, nothing beyond what's needed to confirm the license is valid.
Cookies
We don't set cookies. There's no banner because there's nothing to consent to.
Third parties
The minimum required to ship a product:

- Apple and Google distribute the iOS and Android apps via their stores, answer the apps' update check, and receive whatever their developer terms require.
Your rights
If you have a purchase under your email, you can ask us to delete the order record we keep. Email support@humpbackaudio.com and we'll do it within 30 days. Note that deleting the order also deactivates the license: we can't validate something we don't know about.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change what data is collected, this page will be updated and the change will be called out in the next release notes. The date at the top of this page reflects the last meaningful change.
